At noon, Lula will have a telephone conversation with the president of the government of Spain, José Luiz Rodriguez Zapatero.

In the afternoon, Lula will have a meeting with the mayor of Salvador, Bahia, João Henrique de Barradas Carneiro, at 3:30 pm, for talks on financing the city's subway. At 4:30 pm, Lula will have a meeting with minister Nilmário Miranda, head of the Special Secretariat for Human Rights.
