Brasília - More than 300 thousand young people in the 16-24 age bracket will receive professional training this year through programs executed by the Ministry of Labor and Employment, as against 185 thousand last year. This amounts to an increase of 38%.

"We observed that the lack of training constitutes the biggest obstacle to a first job chance," observes the secretary of Government Employment Policies of the Ministry of Labor and Employment, Remígio Todeschini, arguing in favor of assigning priority to training programs.

Besides learning a trade, the young people will have lessons in digital inclusion, will do community service, and will receive a monthly stipend of US$ 57 (R$ 150).
