São Paulo, March 8, 2004 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - With its recently issued certification, the Embraer 170, one of the commercial jet models manufactured by the Brazilian Aeronautics Company (Embraer), should begin operating commercially on US Airways, in the United States, in April. But before the end of this month, the model will be incorporated into the fleet of LOT Polish Airlines on regional flights from Warsaw.

According to the announcement made today by Embraer, the American company ordered 85 model 170's and expressed interest in buying another 50 aircraft in a deal to be confirmed in May. The Polish company, for its part, should be using 10 model 170's by next year. (DAS)
