São Paulo, 12/26/2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and his family are spending the holiday season in their apartment in the city of São Bernardo do Campo, greater São Paulo metropolitan region, known as the ABC Paulista.

However, spokesmen for the president say they do not know when Lula will return to Brasilia or where he will spend the New Year.

Lula has been in São Paulo since Tuesday. He visited a social project (Casa Cor da Rua) which assists homeless street dwellers who collect material to be recycled. They are given professional training courses. (AB)
