Brasília, 12/10/2003 (Agência Brasil -ABr) - The World Bank (Bird) says it should make US$7.5 billion available to Brazil in new loans over the next four years. The funding will be for human well-being, social and environmental sustainability, competitivity and macroeconomic performance.
"Today Brazil has a unique opportunity to improve the quality of life of its population, especially the most needy," declared Vinod Thomas, the World Bank director for Brazil. (AB)
