Brasília, 12/10/2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Banco do Brasil has released an additional R$2 billion for the agricultural sector this month. For family farming, the amount is R$576 million, bringing the total for that sector to R$2.3 billion. That is 73% more than family farming got during the second half of 2002.

The total of R$14 billion released for the agriculture sector so far this year (2003/2004 harvest) is 65% more than the amount released for the last harvest. (AB)
