Brasília, September 18, 2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Daylight savings time this year will begin October 19 and end February 14, 2004. The announcement was made today by the Minister of Mines and Energy, Dilma Rousseff.

According to the Minister, the new time schedule will be adopted by all the states in the South, Southeast and Center-West regions (with the exception of Mato Grosso).

This year the North and Northeast regions are not obliged to adhere to the regulation (DAS)
