Belém, June 17, 2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - "The holding of debates across the country is a different methodology in the construction of the Pluriannual Plan. It reflects President Lula's conviction that it is necessary to listen to society in order to build, so that there is no conflict between what the government thinks and what society thinks. Priorities will be established in this Pluriannual Plan." With these words, today, in Belém (PA), the Minister of Labor and Employment, Jaques Wagner, inaugurated the Forum of Social Participation, which will serve to gather suggestions for the Pluriannual Plan (PPA) 2004/2007, which will be submitted to Congress by the end of August.
The governor of Pará, Simão Jatene, asked Minister Wagner to deliver President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva a message that Pará will be the government's partner in the fight against social inequalities in the country. (DAS)
