Brasília, December 6, 2002 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The president of the Center for Management and Strategic Studies (CGEE), Evandro Mirra, received a delegation today of French journalists specialized in technological topics and information who came to Brazil to gather data on science in Brazil. The meeting was also intended to establish partnerships to improve specialized press coverage between France and Brazil. "The European Community, and France, in particular, perceived that Brazil's scientific-technological level changed and deserves to be accompanied more closely," Evandro Mirra commented.

The CGEE is a non-profit social organization established for the purpose of generating quality information for the furtherance of science, technology, and innovation in the country. It is considered the first institute in the Americas accepted as an affiliate of the European Observatory of Science and Technology. (DAS)
