Brasília, 12/9/2002 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - President Fernando Henrique Cardoso declared that the XXIII Mercosur Council meeting was a success because member countries of Mercosur and the Andean block are creating their own sources of capital. "Along with that, we are working on the physical integration of our regions: building not only highways, but connecting our energy, gas and electricity grids," said Cardoso. He added that the Interamerican Development Bank and the Andean Foment Corportation (CAF) will finance part of the integration effort. (AB)
