Brazilian exports reach historical record high in November

Brasília, 3 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - In November, Brazilian exports reached a historical high of US$5.127 billion. According to the secretary of Foreign Trade, Lytha Spíndola, that was the first time ever exports in November were over US$5 billion. Imports in November totalled US$3.863 billion, resulting in a surplus of US$1.264 billion. For the sake of comparison, the November 2001 surplus was US$286 million. Spindola pointed out that in an overall comparison with 2001, this year's exports are up 13.9%, and imports down 8.3%. (AB)
