Brasília, 3 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The Chamber of Foreign Trade (Camex) has decided to reduce the number of steel products which needed special licensing (regime de licenciamento não-automático) to be exported, from 200 to 10.

According to Lytha Spindola, the secretary of Foreign Trade, special licensing was adopted in March following the US decision to place safeguards on its steel industry. "Our objectives were achieved. We avoided damage to Brazilian interests in this sector," said Spindola. (AB)
