Brasilia, 6 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The Superior Electoral Tribunal (TSE) maintained Tuesday its ruling that establishes the obligation of the verticality of alliances for the general election to be held October 6. The resolution states that political parties that launch presidential candidates, either on their own and in a coalition, won't be allowed to form isolated or different coalitions for the other elected offices in dispute, such as governor or senator.
Another 11 resolutions on the normalization of campaign acts, number of candidates, election polls, voting, rendering of financial accounts, election propaganda and deadlines were also decreed by the high court. Among them is the mandatory inclusion of the names of candidates for vice president of Brazil, vice governor and Senate alternates in all election campaigns and propaganda.
Another resolution determines that the financial records of election campaigns be made public. Candidates who spend above the limit established for their party will be fined in a value of 5 to 10 times the amount in excess. (MW)
