In 2005 Petrobras broke its own daily production record 11 times

Rio - Petrobras' - Brazilian Petroleum, S.A. - total production of oil and gas rose 10% last year, in comparison with 2004, to a daily average of 2.216 million barrels of oil equivalent (BOE). According to data announced yesterday (16) by the company's press office, Petrobras broke 11 daily production records during the course of 2005.

On average, around 1.957 million barrels of the company's daily production total were produced in Brazil, and 258,737 thousand barrels, abroad. Daily oil production abroad averaged 162,831 barrels, 3.3% less than in 2004.
