Brasília, 10 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Today, Sergio Amaral, minister of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, meets with Mexican representatives for talks on a trade agreement. The agreement is practically concluded, and although it is not as wide-ranging as Brazil would like, "even so it is a good agreement," says Amaral, adding that a free trade treaty is in the works for 2003, and that an automotive sector agreement is also nearly fininshed.

Amaral also announced talks with the Andean Group and Argentina, saying that "What we want is free trade by 2005." (AB)
