Brasília - The film "Francisco's Two Sons" Dois Filhos de Francisco, directed by Breno Silveira, will be Brazil's official nominee for the Best Foreign Film Oscar in 2006. As usual, the decision on the film to represent the country was made by the Audiovisual secretariat at the Ministry of Culture.

The film tells the story of one of Brazil's most popular country singing duos, Zezé de Camargo and Luciano.

On January 31, the Academy will select five finalists for the Best Foreign Film award and the winner will be announced at the Oscar ceremony in March.
