Brasília, 1/28/2004 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The Brazilian IRS (Secretaria da Receita Federal) is tightening the screws a little more on individual taxpayers. As of this year they will have to include numerical identifications of deductible payments for healthcare and education. The IRS supervisor, Joaquim Adir, promises the numbers will be cross-checked.

Brazilian income tax declarations must be completed between March 1 and April 30. (AB)
