Rio, November 25, 2002 (Agência Brasil – Abr) - November inflation, as measured by the General Price Index - 10 (IGP-10), was up 4.73%, an increase of 1.41 percentage points over October's 3.32%. This is the highest IGP-10 since August 1994, when it was 12.57%. Cumulative IGP-10 from January to November this year is now at 18.89%.
In November, once again, the IGP-10 was strongly pressured by wholesale prices (IPA) up 6.4%, 1.59 percentage points over October's 4.81%.
Retail prices also rose, with the Consumer Price Index (IPC) going from 0.77% in October, to 1.86%, in November. Construction costs (INCC) also rose, from 0.72% in October, to 1.36%. (AB)
