Brasília, 22 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Yesterday president Fernando Henrique Cardoso gave a dinner at the Palácio da Alvorada for the president-elect of Columbia, Álvaro Uribe. Present at the dinner were the ministers of Foreign Relations, Celso Lafer; and Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, Sérgio Amaral, and the Office of Institutional Security, Alberto Cardoso.

Uribe, who takes office on August 7, discussed his government strategy, mainly with reference to violence and drug traffic along the border. (AB)
