Brasília, 17 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Yesterday minister of National Integration, Luciano Barbosa, presented the Rede-Ride computer network which will connect 22 municipals in the regional around Brasilia (DF) with the federal govenment and the states of Goias and Minas Gerais. The network, with socio-economic, management and strategic information, will be used to identify investment opportunities and sources of financing. It is part of the Strategic Development Program for the DF and Surrounding Area (Proride) begun in 2001.

"We are implanting a series of measures which will efficiently combat crime and promote citizenship in areas around large urban centers," said Barbosa. (AB)
