Rio, 17 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - According to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), industrial production fell 0.3% during the first five months of 2002. According to the IBGE regional survey, it was down in 8 out of 12 regions surveyed, so that the cumulative result is down 1.2% for the last 12 months (ending in May) and down 0.7% for the last 12 months ending in April.
