Brasília, 17 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The Permanent International Agribusiness Forum, which is discussing European Union - Mercosur trade, has proposed yesterday a system for quotas and tariffs on exports which will go to the meeting of Mercosur ministers of Agriculture and European commissioners tha begins this Saturday (20). According to the president of the Forum and vice-president for international matters at the National Agricultural Confederation, Gilman Rodrigues, sanitation agreements should be reached first. "We accept the EU suggestion to deal with quotas first and then move to a broader agreement as long as there is a commitment to an eventual free trade agreement," said Rodrigues. (AB)
