Brasília, 15 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Brazil will host the IV Conference for Heads of State and Government of the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP) on July 31 and August 1, here in Brasilia. This meeting will mark the official entrance of East Timor into the organization, bringing membership to eight: Angola, Brazil, Cabo Verde, Guiné Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe, and East Timor.
As of this meeting, Brazil will preside over the organization for the next two years. According to minister of Foreign Relations, Celso Lafer, it is hoped that the summit will make important decisions. (AB)
