Brasília, 9 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Minister of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, Sérgio Amaral, reported yesterday that Mercosur will negotiate a free trade agreement with Mexico within the next few months. Amaral says that Mexican participation in Mercosur negotiations is a way to boost growth in Latin America.
Amaral said that a sign of progress was the recent auto agreement betwen Mexico and Brazil. At the moment Mexico is Brazil's fourth biggest trade partner. "We are moving ahead with trade agreements which will open markets for Brazilian goods," he said. (AB)
