Rio, 9 (Agência Brasil - ABr) – Yesterday vice president Marco Maciel declared that after 8 years the Real Plan has been a success. Thanks to the plan, said Maciel, Brazil no longer has annual inflation rates of up to 12,000%. By "ending the culture of inflation, the Real Plan ended an era of speculation," he said.

Maciel pointed out that the Real Plan has made it possible to plan development and implement growth policies to reduce inequalities by investing in health and education. "The Real Plan is helping to build a society that is more just," said the vice president. (AB)
