Rio, 9 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Vice president Marco Maciel declared yesterday that recent risk evaluations made by international rating agencies which raise Brazil's risk are unfounded. Maciel declared that Brazilian democracy is consolidated and its economic fundamentals are solid. "These agencies and their negative evaluations of Brazil are wrongheaded. I suspect that in some cases the evaluations are being made by people interested in seeing our currency devaluated," he said. (AB)
