Brasília, 9 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - A mission from the Federation of Commerce of Japan, headed by its honorary president, Takashi Imai, met with president Fernando Henrique Cardoso yesterday and told him that they are confident in Brazil and want to make new investments in the country.
Later, in talks with minister of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, Sergio Amaral, the Japanese discussed the possibility of adding alcohol to gasoline used in Japan. Brazil already uses sugarcane-based alcohol and is interested in exporting the product abroad, especially to Asian countries. (AB)
