Brasília, 9 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - There was a foreign trade surplus of US$52 million during the first week of July, bringing the cumulative trade surplus for the year to US$2.658 billion, with exports at US$26.067 billion, and imports US$23.409 billion.
"If it wasn't for the deficit with Argentina, we could be doing even better. In spite of that, there are good reasons to believe we will continue to increase our surplus significantly," said minister of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, Sergio Amaral, who added that he continues to believe Brazil will have a surplus of US$5 billion by the end of the year.
