Versammlung gegen Rauschgift und Rehabilitation von Süchtigen von Mercosul, in Brasília, alle Mercosul-Partner so wie Chile und Bolivien auf, zusammen den Rauschgifthandel zu bekämpfen, durch Aktionen vor allem an ihren Grenzen. Laut ihm habe die brasilianische Regierung 500 Mio. Real (143 Mio. Dollar) in Ausrüstungen für die Bundespolizei investiert. (MNJ)

Brasília, 21/11/2002 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Estão abertas as inscrições para o I Seminário Nacional "Advocacia Pública nos Tribunais Superiores", previsto para os dias 2 a 4 de dezembro, no auditório do Superior Tribunal de Justiça (STJ). O seminário é realizado pelos Procuradores dos Estados em Brasília, com apoio do Centro de Estudos Judiciários do Conselho da Justiça Federal (CJF) e da Advocacia Geral da União. A iniciativa do seminário é do grupo de Procuradores de Estado lotados em Brasília, que se reúne há quatro anos para tratar das questões comuns aos estados, trabalhando junto aos tribunais superiores nos "leading cases" que interessam a todos.

Entre os temas que serão abordados nos três dias estão a reforma do Poder Judiciário, concessão de serviços públicos, sigilo bancário e fiscal, repercussões da sociedade de risco no Direito Tributário e o novo papel do advogado público.

As inscrições são gratuitas e ficarão abertas até dia 27 no site do Conselho da Justiça Federal, www.cjf.gov.br. .

Brasília, 21.11.2002 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Der Sekretär für Internationale Beziehungen der Arbeiterpartei (PT), Bundesabgeordnete Aloizio Mercadante, sagte heute, die Regierung Lula wolle mit der amerikanischen Regierung gemäss gleichen Bedingungen verhandeln, denn die bilateralen Handelsbeziehungen erleben ein bedeutsames Ungleichgewicht in den letzten Jahren.

Beide Länder sollen dabei profitieren, sagte Mercadante, denn die brasilianische Beteiligung an amerikanischen Importe liegt bei nur 1,8%. Laut ihm seien die amerikanischen Exporte nach Brasilien in den ersten 4 Jahre der Regierung Cardoso um 116% gewachsen, während die brasilianische Gegenleistung nur um 5% gewachsen sei. (MNJ)

Brasília, 22/11/2002 (Agencia Brasil - ABr) - El secretario de Relaciones Internacionales del Partido de los Trabajadores, diputado federal Aloizio Mercadante, dijo que el gobierno Lula quiere negociar en igualdad de condiciones con el gobierno norteamericano, ya que las relaciones comerciales bilaterales sufrieron un desequilibrio significativo en los últimos años.

"Necesitamos restablecer un comercio donde los dos países ganen" dijo el diputado. Mercadante también subrayó que la participación brasileña en las importaciones de los Estados Unidos es de sólo el 1,8%.

Mercadante informó que las exportaciones norteamericanas para Brasil crecieron el 116% en los primeros cuatro año del gobierno del presidente Cardoso y que la contrapartida brasileña fue de sólo el 5%. (AKR)

Brasília, November 21, 2002 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The PT's secretary of International Relations, federal deputy and senator elect Aloizio Mercadante, said that Lula's administration intends to negotiate on an equal footing with the US government, as bilateral trade relations experienced a significant imbalance in recent years.

"We must re-establish trade in which both countries gain," the deputy said, following a meeting with the US government's Assistant Secretary of State for Latin America, Otto Reich. Mercadante also pointed out that Brazilian participation in the imports of the United States is only 1.8%.

Mercadante informed as well that American exports to Brazil grew 116% in the first four years of Fernando Henrique Cardoso's administration, while the compensation for Brazil was only 5%. And he affirmed: "The Americans always played tough, and now they will have an administration that is going to play as tough as they do in international relations." (DAS)

This affirmation was made today by the minister of Justice, Paulo de Tarso Ribeiro, who participated in the opening of the IV Meeting of Authorities Active in Drug Questions, Prevention of Their Improper Use, and Rehabilitation of Drug Addicts in the Mercosur (RED).

The minister highlighted the site created by the Federal Antidrug Office (Senad), the Brazilian Drug Information Observatory, which makes available all kinds of information on the topic. In the minister's view, Western society is passing through a moment of crisis and has to reflect on the drug scourge, which requires governments to spend billions of dollars. He observed that the drug question is even more serious in Brazil, because the drug traffic finances all other forms of criminality. (DAS)

Versammlung gegen Rauschgift und Rehabilitation von Süchtigen von Mercosul, in Brasília.

Dabei erwähnte der Minister die Schaffung der Site des brasilianischen Informationsobservatoriums über Rauschgift des brasilianischen Sekretariats gegen Rauschgift (Senad), die jegliche Information über das Thema zur Verfügung stellt. Laut Minister Ribeiro finanziere der Rauschgifthandel andere Arten von Kriminalität in Brasilien. (MNJ)

Brasília, 22/11/2002 (Agencia Brasil - ABr) - Brasil tiene como meta ampliar, en los próximos cuatro años, el comercio bilateral con los Estados Unidos para US$ 60.000 millones y, en ocho años, para US$ 100.000 millones. La información fue dada ayer (21) por el secretario de Relaciones Internacionales del Partido de los Trabajadores, diputado federal y senador electo Aloizio Mercadante, tras reunión con el secretario de Estado asistente para América Latina del gobierno de los Estados Unidos, Otto Reich.

Mercadante subrayó que "podemos ofrecer una agenda positiva y recibir en contrapartida una agenda positiva. Ahora nosotros tenemos que trabajar más, exportar más y profundizar nuestras relaciones comerciales", afirmó. (AKR)

This information was provided today by the PT's secretary of International Relations, federal deputy and senator-elect Aloízio Mercadante, after a meeting with the United States government's Assistant Secretary of State for Latin America, Otto Reich.

According to Mercadante, president-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who was present at the beginning of the meeting, said that the new administration intends to augment bilateral trade and open more markets for Brazil, in order to assure the country's economic development, generate more jobs, and aggregate foreign exchange.

"We can offer a positive agenda and receive a positive agenda in return. Now we have to work more, export more, sell more, and intensify our trade relations," he affirmed. (DAS)
