Brazil receives award for assisting Asian nations struck by tsunami

Brasília - Brazil and four other nations have been awarded a "Special South-South Solidarity Prize" for assisting in the recovery effort after the December 2004 tsunami in southeast Asia. The prize will be presented at a ceremony at the United Nations in New York. The other nations to receive the award are China, Algeria, Benin and Samoa.
