Brasília - The first preliminary report (relatório parcial) from the Post Office CPI (Comissão Parlamentar Mista de Inquérito (CPMI) na Empresa Brasileira de Correios e Telégrafos (ECT)) will be presented today by the commission redactor, deputy Osmar Serraglio (PMDB-PR). It is expected that Serraglio will request the expulsion of eighteen members of Congress who are supposedly involved in a monthly payoff scheme which paid congressmen in parties allied with the government a monthly allowance ("mensalão") to vote with the government.
