Amorim will follow investigation of shooting of Brazilian in London

Brasília - Brazil's minister of Foreign Relations, Celso Amorim, will have a meeting today with England's Foreign Secretary, Jack Straw, for talks on the death of a Brazilian, Jean Charles de Menezes, shot by London police who mistakenly thought he was a terrorist.

Amorim has been assured by British authorities that a thorough investigation of the incident will take place.

Amorim has met with a cousin of the victim and will probably meet with other family members today.

Jean Charles de Menezes was 27. He was a legal immigrant who had lived in England for 3 years.
