Brazilian government sends Haiti 28 more tons of food and medicine

Brasília - This week the Brazilian government will send another 28 tons and food and medicine to Haiti. Loading of the Brazilian Air Force's (FAB) KC-137 aircraft got underway this morning at the Galeão Air Base in Rio de Janeiro, after which the plane will depart for the Brasília Air Base, where another part of the Brazilian aid to the Haitian population will be placed aboard.

The Press Office of the Presidential Cabinet of Institutional Security informed that, in addition to food and medicine, the aircraft will transport a shipment of supplies for the Brazilian troops that are part of the United Nations stabilization mission in Haiti.
