São Paulo - September consumer price inflation (IPC) in São Paulo, as measured by the University of São Paulo's Economic Reserach Institute Foundation (Fipe) (Fundação Instituto de Pesquisas Econômicas), rose only 0.21%. In the previous survey, the IPC had risen 0.32%. In August it was up 0.99%.
Food prices actually dropped (deflation) 0.57% in the latest survey. But Clothing was up 0.72%, Housing rose 0.57%, Transportation 0.44%; Health 0.31%; Personal Expenses 0.17%, and Education 0.09%.
