Rio, March 5, 2004 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Petrobras's general manager of Pipeline Transport, Gas, and Energy, David Schmidt, presented Rio de Janeiro entrepreneurs, assembled in the Rio de Janeiro Commercial Association, with the project to build a pipeline linking the Campos basin, in the northern part of the state, with São Paulo.

Construction of the project foresees investments on the order of R$ 4.65 million, an increase in petroleum production in the north of the state, and the creation of 34 thousand jobs, basic to the economy of the state, according to the president of the Commercial Association's Entrepreneurial Council, Márcio Fortes.
