Rio, 1/3/2004 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Today is the 394th anniversary of the city of Rio de Janeiro. Celebrations will occur during the week, but the real party will be next weekend with a series of shows organized by the municipal tourist office (Riotur). Among others, Beth Carvalho, Danilo Caymmi, Dudu Nobre, Emílio Santiago, Zé Renato, Quarteto em Cy, Carequinha and MPB 4 will perform on Saturday, March 6. On Sunday, March 7, the entertainment will be in hands of international DJ Fat Boy Slim, and Brazilian DJs Patife and Marky. The festivities will close out on Sunday, March 14, with Celso Blues Boy, Guilherme Arantes and Ivan Lins. (AB)
