Brasília, February 18, 2004 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The special committee encharged with accompanying the investigations of Parmalat will meet today at 2:30 P.M. to vote on motions to hold public hearings and to install a sub-committee to discuss a new organizational model for the dairy sector.
Included in the motions for public hearings are calls to hear the testimony of representatives of dairy farmers from Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro and the Minister of Agrarian Development, Miguel Rossetto.
Tomorrow (19), the committee will hold public hearings with the magistrate of the 42nd Civil Court of São Paulo, Carlos Henrique Abrão, the temporary court-appointed administrator of Parmalat, Keyler Carvalho Rocha, and the secretary of Economic Rights of the Ministry of Justice, Daniel K. Goldberg. The meeting is set for 10 A.M.
