Market survey shows inflation estimates have risen

Brasília, 1/27/2004 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The Central Bank's weekly market survey found that inflation estimates have risen. The market forecast for the Broad Consumer Price Index (IPCA) in January is now 0.70%, up from 0.65% last week. The market forecast for February also rose, from 0.55% to 0.60%.

As for the year, forecast for the IPCA remains stable at 5.99%, while the market forecast for the General Market Price Index (IGP-M) rose from 6.16% to 6.26%. (AB)
