Brasília, 1/27/2004 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Yesterday minister of Culture, Gilberto Gil, met with filmmakers and people in the film industry to discuss the establishment of a government-run film and audio-visual agency. The agency would support film and TV production, bringing the two groups closer together.
According to Gil, the agency would also be involved in professional training of film and TV technicians, as well as filmmakers. He concluded by saying the idea is for the agency to regulate production content and distribution in Brazil. (AB)
