Otaviano Canuto will be Brazil's new representative at the World Bank

Brasília, January 6, 2004 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The secretary of International Affairs of the Ministry of Finance, Otaviano Canuto, will be the new Brazilian representative at the World Bank (IBRD) in Washington (US). The Ministry of Finance confirmed Canuto's leave today. He will temporarily be replaced by the current deputy secretary, Arno Meyer. Canuto will occupy the vacancy of Amaury Bier, who is returning to Brazil to work with the ex-president of the Central Bank, Armínio Fraga. (DAS)
