Brasília, 12/24/2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - From January to November of this year the Social Security system (INSS) has had revenue of R$70.07 billion and outlays totalling R$91.74 billion. The deficit of R$21.67 billion is 28.9% higher than during the same period in 2002.
According to the secretary of the INSS, Helmut Schwarzer, there was a 4.6% drop in revenue due to a real drop in wages. (AB)
