Brasília, November 5, 2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - At 8:30 A.M. President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva will visit the Mozambican Heroes Square, in Maputo (Mozambique). At 9:30 he will meet with President Joaquim Alberto Chissano and then attend an expanded meeting with the Brazilian and Mozambican delegations. At 11:15, in the internal patio of the President's office, Lula will participate in an act-signing ceremony, followed by a joint statement to the press.
At 12:10 P.M Lula will attend closing ceremonies of the business meeting "Brazil-Mozambique: Trade and Investments," at the Polana Hotel, where he will have lunch with the entrepreneurs. At 4 P.M. he will give a speech on "Social Policies of the Brazilian and Mozambican Governments" at the Joaquim Alberto Chissano International Convention Center. Then he will proceed to the Africa Cine Theater, and at 7:45 P.M. he will be honored by President Chissano at a dinner in the Red Point Palace.
In his trip to Africa, Lula is accompanied by the Ministers of Foreign Relations, Celso Amorim; Education, Cristovam Buarque; Culture, Gilberto Gil; Health, Humberto Costa; Food Security and Hunger Alleviation, José Graziano; Development, Industry, and Foreign Trade, Luiz Fernando Furlan ; Social Assistance, Benedita da Silva; Science and Technology, Roberto Amaral; Agrarian Development, Miguel Rossetto; Labor and Employment, Jaques Wagner; and Sports, Agnelo Queiroz, as well as by the president of Infraero, Carlos Wilson.
