Brasília, December 10, 2002 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Brazilian production of grain, cereals, and oil seeds in the 2002/2003 harvest may attain a record volume of 106.1 million tons, 9.7% more than in the 2001/2002 harvest. According to data released today by the National Supply Company (Conab), there will a 4.3% increase in the area in which the major summer crops will be cultivated, which can represent an additional 1.7 million hectares compared with the previous harvest.
