Brasília, November 29, 2002 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - On Sunday, accompanied by a delegation with five members of the Workers Party (PT), the future president, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, will make his first trip abroad since having his name endorsed by the ballot boxes last October. He will go to Argentina and Chile. The president-elect's team, however, has already initiated contacts with representatives of international organizations in Brazil, including technical experts from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Today, Lula received support from the management of the Spanish Santander Bank, which signalled its intention to expand its investments in Brazil and informed that it will make US$ 2 billion available in lines of credit for foreign trade.
