Brasília, November 29, 2002 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Brazil condemned the terrorist attack that occurred yesterday in the city of Mombasa, in Kenya, as well as the attempt to use missiles to shoot down an aircraft belonging to the Israeli company El Al. "The Brazilian government extends to the victims' families the entire Brazilian nation's sentiments of sorrow for this further tragic event associated with the Mideast conflict," says an official communiqué released by the Ministry of Foreign Relations. In the note the Brazilian government reiterates its conviction that terrorist acts do serious damage to efforts aimed at the resumption of the peace negotiations to which the world community is committed.
