Brasília, November 29, 2002 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The Exporter's Site (www.portaldoexportador.gov.br) completes a year today since it began to function. Created by the Ministry of Development, Industry, and Foreign Trade to make available to entrepreneurs complete information on foreign trade, including instructional guidance on how to export, the Site received 280 thousand visits in its first year.

According to minister Sérgio Amaral, the 280 thousand visits prompted 2.5 thousand queries. All queries are responded by the staff of the Secretariat of Foreign Trade at the Ministry. According to the Site's records, the number of visits has been growing in recent months, from a daily average of 760 visits, in the early phase, to one thousand, this month. (DAS)
