Brasília, November 28, 2002 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The national president of the PT, deputy José Dirceu (SP), said today that the new value of the minimum wage will be announced after the inauguration, on January 1. "The value will be such that it can be doubled in four years," he added, without specifying whether it will be more or less than R$ 240.

According to José Dirceu, the 2003 budget will contain sufficient resources to implement the most important projects of Lula's administration. But he emphasized that this will occur "if the economic situation of the country allows it." (DAS)
