Brasilia – The Brazilian men’s soccer team won its second match on Sunday (July 29), beating Belarus 3 to 1. They beat Egypt 3 to 2 in their first game.
With two wins, and six points, Brazil is now safety into the second round (quarter finals), although they still have a first round game with New Zealand on Wednesday (August 1).
The Brazilian men’s beach volleyball team, Alison and Emanuel, beat the Austrians, Doppler and Horst, by two sets to one on Sunday (July 29). Their next game is early Tuesday against the Swiss. The other Brazilian men’s beach volleyball team, Ricardo and Pedro Cunha, defeated the Norwegians, Skarlund and Spinnangr two sets to zero, on Saturday.
Also on Sunday, the Brazilian men’s basketball team, playing in the Olympics for the first time since 1996, beat Australia 75 to 71. Their next game is today against Great Britain.
