São Paulo – Heavy rainfall Tuesday afternoon (July 17) forced the Congonhas airport to close down for 42 minutes, from 2:48 to 3:30 pm.
Even so, the airport infrastructure company (“Empresa Brasileira de Infraestrutura Aeroportuária – Infraero”) reported that passenger flow was normal and during the day only slightly over 15% of flights had delays.
Authorities put the whole city in a state of alert at 3:00 pm. At 4:00 pm that was reduced to a state of observation.
