Porto Alegre, 4 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Federal judge Luiz Carlos de Castro Lugon has been appointed the Brazilian representative to observe the presidential campaign in East Timor. The historical election will select the first president of the recently independent country on April 14.

Lugon will join other foreign observers. The name of the winner of the election is to be announced on April 21. (AB)
